Symptom
Cause/Solution
The date is not
recorded or printed.
• The rechargeable lithium ion battery is fully
discharged.
Charge the rechargeable battery and set the date
and time again, (page 6,33)
• "NO DATE" is set on the PRINT menu.
♦ Change the setting on the PRINT menu to "D.ATE"
or "DATE & TIME." (page 18)
Vertical streaks appear
when shooting a very
bright subject.
• The smear phenomenon.
♦ The camera is not malfunctioning.
The battery life
deteriorates too fast.
• Charging of the rechargeable battery is not enough.
♦ Charge the battery fully, (page 6)
• The rechargeable battery has ser\'ed its time.
♦ Replace the battery with a new one. (page 6)
You cannot play back
the images.
• The function dial is not set to "PLAY."
Set the function dial to "PLAY."
• The rechargeable battery is dead.

remote controllable area or there is an obstacle

Place the equipment within 4-12 inches (10 - .30
cm) from the camera and remove an obstacle.
