Using the Radio Data System (RDS)
(This function is for models of area code CED oniy.)
Receiving RDS
Simply select a station on the FM band using direct
tuning (page 45), automatic tuning (page 45), or
preset tuning (page 46)
When you tune in a station that provides RDS services,
the RDS indicator lights up and the program staHon name
appears in the display
Note
RDS may not work properly if the station you tuned to is not
transmitting the RDS signal properly or if the signal strength is
weak
Displaying RDS infoimatiM
While receiving an RDS station, press DISPLAY
repeatedly to change the RDS information on the
display window as follows:
PS (Program Station name)®’
Frequency®’
PTY (Program TYpe) indication'^’
RT (Radio Text) indication*^’
CT (Current Time) indication (in 24-hour system)
