USER SETTINGS

The default settings and selectable settings vary depending on the current country selection. The values
shown here are average values.

Settings
DATE & TIME
Set the date and time (24-hour clock) using the numeric buttons.

UNIT TELEPHONE #
Enter your fax number using the numeric buttons.

UNIT NAME
This is the name that appears at the top of each fax page you send.
(see p. 2-8)

TX TERMINAL ID
This option sets the parameters for the identification header that
appears on every page you send.
ON/OFF
TTI POSITION
Select the position of the TTI.
INSIDE IMAGE: Position the TTI inside the image area.
OUTSIDE IMAGE: Position the TTI outside the image area.

TELEPHONE # MARK
Select the prefix for the telephone/fax number.
TEL/FAX
SCAN CONTRAST
Set the density of the reproduction. Set DARKER for light originals and
LIGHTER for dark originals.
STANDARD/DARKER/

OFFHOOK ALARM
Enable/disable the off hook alarm. The alarm alerts you that the
optional handset is not seated properly in its cradle.

VOLUME CONTROL
Set the volume of the fax sounds.

CALLING VOLUME
Set the volume of the ring produced when the fax detects a voice call
when Fax/Tel mode is set.

KEYPAD VOLUME
Set the volume of the keypad.

ALARM VOLUME
Set the volume of the error alarm sound.

LINE MONITOR VOL
Set the volume of the line monitor (sound during dialling).

RX CALL LEVEL
Set the ring tone.

Set the dialling method the fax uses to match the type of phone line
you have.

R-KEY SETTING
Set the type of line to which your fax is connected.
PSTN/PBX
PSTN
Your fax is connected directly to an outside line.

PBX:
ACCESS TYPE
ACCESS NUMBER
Your fax is connected through a PBX.
You can set the PBX type to PREFIX, HOOKING or EARTH
CONNECTION.
If you select PREFIX, you can enter an outside line access number of
up to 19 digits.
