Removing the Video Card(s)

Remove the battery pack (see

Remove the base cover (see

Remove the keyboard (see

9.
Remove the video-card heat-sink(s) (see

Remove the two screws that secure the video-card(s) to the system board.

The video-card assembly may be very hot during normal operation. Ensure that it has had sufficient time to cool before you touch it.

To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal
surface (such as a connector on your computer).

To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see

) before working inside the
computer.
