Press (SPEED) to access the speed readout on line 2 of the screen
above. Keep pressing until the digit you want to set is flashing. Once
you have selected the digit you wish to set, press to increase the
number or press to decrease the number. Once the speed has been
set, press to initiate the test. You should see this screen:
The display above will give constant real-time readings of the load and
displacement measurements during the test cycle. You can end the test at
any time by pressing
. This will stop all data collection and reverse
the platen to its down position.
Once the sample makes contact with the unconfined upper platen the
HM-3000 will automatically zero the load and displacement readings and
collect a load reading every “X” second, depending on what logging interval
has been set (see logging interval).
