Tips for Using LiveView
LiveView™ is a virtual view of your BaseStation controller. It allows you to operate the controller just as if you were
standing in front of it.
Select the site and controller first.
a. From the list under the All tab on the left side of the map, click the site. The controllers assigned to that
site are listed below the site name.
b. Click the controller that you want to work with. A blue arrow displays next to the controller that is
selected.
To start LiveView, click the LiveView tab. The page displays a view of the controller that is very similar to the
interface of your actual controller.
Use the mouse to click the buttons.
Example: In LiveView for the BaseStation 1000 controller, position the mouse pointer on the Program Setup
button, and then click the left mouse button. The Program Setup menu displays on the virtual controller
screen.
To select an option from the Program Setup menu, position the mouse pointer on the or button, and then
click the mouse button to move the highlighting on the virtual controller screen.
When the option that you want to use is highlighted, click the OK button with the mouse.
When you are in a field that accepts a number, you can click the + or – buttons to change the value, just as you
would on the controller, but you can also click in the Set Value field and then type a number on your keyboard.
Click the Apply button to move that value into the field.
When a long list displays on the virtual controller screen, you can click the
or
buttons to move 10
places in the list with one click.
When you use LiveView to put the virtual controller in a specific screen, keep in mind that the real controller is
actually in that screen.
Example: In LiveView, you access the Zone Runtimes screen for a program on your BaseStation 1000
controller. If a colleague is standing at the controller in the field, that person will see the screens change on the
controller while you are clicking the buttons in LiveView.
When you finish making a change or viewing a virtual controller screen in LiveView, it’s best to click the Run
button in order to return the controller to the operating mode.
