97. Select one new:
136-154D CHAIN RL #40 214 PITCHES
98. Route chain around Small Seeds drive output
sprocket and meter drive input sprocket . Make
sure chain clip opening faces away from direction of
chain travel, as shown in Figure 38 on page 28.
Chain routes forward of and under both 17-tooth
idlers

99. Adjust idlers for
1 ⁄
2
inch (13 mm) slack in longest
(bottom) span of chain.
100. Repeat step 97 through step 99 for center and right
drill sections.
Install Seed Tubes
Seed tube installation is different for drills with and
without the Fertilizer option. With Fertilizer installed, the
row unit frame opening behind the main seed tube is
occupied by the fertilizer drop tube. A side delivery tube
is used for Small Seeds in that case.
101. If Fertilizer is installed, skip to step 106 on page 20.
Delivery Tube - No Fertilizer
Start with the left-most row unit.

102. Select one each new:
123-939H SMALL SEEDS TUBE WELDMENT
and two new:
801-002C SCREW HEX SLT10-16X1/2P.THD CT
103. Insert the long end of the delivery tube through
the row unit frame hole in between the T-handle
slot and the main seed tube hole. The bent lower
section of the delivery tube angles forward. Secure
tube with two screws
.
104. Repeat step 102 and step 103 for each row unit.
105. Skip to step 110.
