4.2.5. Windows PC Connection
The PRO Mini is connected to a Windows PC as shown below:
The PRO Mini features an Expansion Port; the Expansion Port allows for adding
storage capacity, and increased storage throughput, without requiring additional
Host Computer PCI-e slots. The Host Computer Port of an additional PRO Mini
is simply connected to the Expansion Port of the previous PRO Mini; up to 3 units
can be accessed from a single host computer PCIe card slot.
Each additional PRO Mini automatically appears as a separate device to the
Host Computer; simply adding a PRO Mini adds total storage capacity by
automatically providing an additional storage device.
To optionally add storage capacity, as a single device with increased write/read
transfer rate performance, the Windows Operating System’s Disk Manager is
used to STRIPE additional PRO Mini units together to operate as a single device.
