4. Installation
Please follow these few steps to install the PRO Mini. This process typically
takes about 20 minutes to complete.
Overview of installation:
• Disk Module MPD Pack Installation
• Host Bus Extender installation
• Connect Uplink cable to the Drive Enclosure
• Driver
Installation
• RAID Console Installation
The PRO Mini is normally shipped pre-configured in RAID 5 mode and
pre-formatted for Apple Mac OS X or Windows OS, as specified in the
supplied Pre-Configuration Sheet:
Mac OS X: After the Driver / RAID Manager Installation and a reboot
are performed, the PRO Mini icon will appear on the desktop ready for
use.
Windows OS: After the Driver installation and a reboot are performed,
the PRO Mini will appear in ‘My Computer’ and is ready for use. The
RAID Manager is installed using a RAID Manager Installer.
4.1. Disk Module (MPD Pack) Installation
Install the Disk Module (MPD Pack) into the open slot. Pull the Lock Pin down
and insert drive pack fully, release Locking Pin to secure.
