Subject : External Ball-screw Threads
The following features can be inspected using the Bowers
Snapmic for ball-screw thread measurement :
• Right & left-hand threads with same contacts
• Pitch diameter (measurements taken over pin-
diameter).
• Setting is carried out with slip blocks or
master component
• 2 or 3 roller contact
• Easily exchangeable contacts / pins
• Measurement of effective (functional) diameter. (Measurement is taken over the pin
dimension)
• Constant measuring pressure
• Quick push-button operation
• RS-232 output for data transfer
• 0 - 25 mm subject to pin-diameter
• 25 - 55 mm subject to pin diamater
• Ball-screw manufacturers
• Ball / pin centre diameter
• Pitch length
• Range of ball-screw threads manufactured by the customer to allow us to provide maximum
coverage (smallest and largest sizes)
