4. After you make the selection from the list, the Setup Wizard will automatically offer
different choices for the software products to install. Make your choices and click
Next. The applications you have selected will determine the sequence of installation.
5. Follow the prompts for the application you have selected. The general order of the
installation will be:
 Select software products to install
 Setup Wizard uninstalls applicable Rockwell Automation software
 User Identification and serial number
 License agreement
 Automatic installation of prerequisites
 Installation of necessary Rockwell Software
 FactoryTalk Services Platform
 FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition
 FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Station for Windows
 FactoryTalk Activation Manager
 Rockwell Automation USBCIP Driver (or Rockwell Automation x64 Driver
for 64-bit system)
 RSLinx Enterprise
 RSLinx Classic (if selected)
 Faceplates and Add-On-Instructions (if selected)
6. Activate the new applications using FactoryTalk View Activation software.
If you are installing FactoryTalk View for the first time, you will find the serial number and
product key on the Activation Certificate enclosed with the FactoryTalk View Installation DVD.
