STEP 7. INSTALL REAR SWING
AXLE
a. Remove 5/8 NC X 4.5 LG bolt (A) from axle
support swivel (B). Ensure spacer (C) remains in
place. Make note of hardware orientation for
replacement in next step.
b. Position swing axle (D) on axle support swivel (B)
and attach with one 5/8 NC X 4.5 LG bolt (A), and
nut. Torque to 160 ft·lbf (217 N·m).
c. Set the swing axle perpendicular or slightly
forward of perpendicular to cutterbar.
d. Raise axle support (D).
e. Adjust gap (E) between cutterbar and axle support
(F) to 0.02-0.16 in. (0.5-4.0 mm) by loosening jam
nut (G) and turning adjuster bolt (H). Retighten
jam nut.
