Locking/Unlocking the Device
Locking the device turns off keyboard and
touch screen functionality. This is a helpful
feature if, for example, the device is turned
on and in your pocket, and you want to
prevent accidental key presses.
•To lock the device, tap on the icon
on the Today Screen. Once the device is
locked, the left soft key label changes to
Unlock.
To unlock the device, tap the Unlock button on the Today screen first,
a screen as below will show. Press the “Fn” key and * to unlock the
device, or just tap the Unlock button on the screen.
You can still receive calls and make emergency calls when the keypad is locked.
