4.8 Filling and inserting the magazines

• Fill one of the magazines (48) with slides (49).
While doing so, ensure that the surface to be
imprinted (50) is on the left and facing upwards
( Fig. 23 ).

• So that the specimen slides are ejected cor-
rectly, ensure that the specimen slides are
inserted into the magazine accurately aligned
above each other ( Fig. 26 ) and at a right angle
to the aperture ( Fig. 27 ).
• Hold magazine (48) at a slight angle ( Fig. 24 )
to prevent the specimen slides from falling
out of the magazine. Insert magazine into the
corresponding receptacle as shown. Both pins
(52) of the magazine need to lock into slot (51).
