4. Instrument Setup

• Swing the reflector (41) upwards.
• Carefully pull out the old flash bulb (43) straight
to the right, do not twist it. If the flash bulb
cannot be pulled out easily, gently rock it back
and forth to get it unseated from the socket.
• Make sure the contact spring (44) is removed
from the priming wire (45) of the lamp.

• Open the lid (4, Fig. 2 ) to gain access to the
reflector.
• Remove screw (49) (use screwdriver supplied
as part of tool set). Mind the washer (42).

Switch the instrument off and unplug it
from power supply.
Allow the flash tube to cool before re-
moving it. Do not handle the flash tube
with bare hands. Use a glove or tissue.
Caution!
To insert/remove, hold the flash
bulb as shown in Fig. 17 (right).
Do not take hold of the sides of
the flash bulb or compress it as
shown in Fig. 16 .
