Wing to Frame Installation
Hitch Balls assembled on Center Frame
If Hitch Balls are factory assembled onto the Center
Frame, slide Wing Guide roller into the Yoke in the rear.
Assemble Socket Halves onto the Hitch Ball and slide
into Wing Frame socket receiver aligning Socket Half
with the grease fitting and the hole in the Wing Frame.
Secure Socket Halves to Wing Frame with 7/16-14 X 5
Capscrews and Locknuts. Repeat for the other Wing.
Hitch Balls not assembled on Center Frame
Before Assembling, check Center Frame Hitch Ball
Mounting Lugs that all paint is removed from counter
bore and hole. Fit Hitch Ball to be sure that there is no
interference and Hitch Ball seats in counter bore
properly. Assemble Hitch Ball and Socket Halves into
each Wing Frame aligning Socket Half with the grease
fitting and the hole in the Wing Frame. Secure with
7/16-14 X 5 Capscrews and Locknuts. Assemble Wing
onto Center frame by sliding Wing Guide Roller into Yoke
in the rear and Hitch Ball in the front. Torque Slotted Nut
to 450 Ft-Lbs. If nut slot is not aligned with cotter pin
hole in Hitch Ball, tighten nut to align next slot to
install Cotter Pin.
NOTE
While the machine is still supported, bleed the air from
the hydraulic system by cycling the hydraulic circuit
completely a minimum of 5 times. (The system will hold
8-10 gallons of hydraulic fluid depending on model.) After
the circuit is bled leave wing cylinders extended so that
Wing Fold Links can be installed.
Attach Wing Fold Links to Wing Frame and Hydraulic
Cylinder.
