DISASSEMBLY:
1) Activate the handle and align the spanner holes of the piston to the body.
Use a spanner wrench to hold the body and piston then use a wrench
on the flats to thread out the back piston. Note that the joint is held by
LocTite so some heat may be applied for ease of removal.
2) Once the two halves of the piston are apart, remove the spring and poppet
assembly.
SEAL REPLACEMENT:
1) Protect the new seal components from damage and dirt by keeping them
in their original package until ready for use.
2) Check that the part number and delivery notes comply with the application.
3) Visually inspect the piston and poppet to make sure there are no
contaminants or other problems that would impede good sealing ability.
4) Disassemble the poppet assembly and clean.
5) Lightly lubricate the new poppet seal with compatible system oil. Replace
the o-ring into the poppet assembly.
6) Insert the assembly into the piston. Make sure the tabs on the poppet
straddle the activation pin.
