Attach New Power Harness
Step 1: Connect the old power connector to the new power harness adapter found in the
kit. The connectors are keyed - the power connectors only fit one way.
Step 2: Run the green earth wire from the power harness adapter between the bus bar
and the rack wall avoiding any interference with other wires in the rack.
Step 3: Carefully route the earth wire around the rear interior of the rack to the earth bar.
Connect the ring crimp using one of the phillips screws in the bar.
Step 4: Use a cable tie to secure the earth wire to the wires that travel from the mated
power harness connectors.
Prepare Beacon Wires
Before connecting the beacon wires in the next section, you may find that you need to
extend these wires so they can reach the new location of the beacon connector on the
CEM3 backplane.
Step 1: First pull the wires out from their original location to see if they can reach the new
location on the CEM3 backplane (found above the DMX output connectors).
Step 2: If the wires do not reach, try one or more of the following methods to extend the
