2.2 Installing eyeBeam
1. The download file is an internet-enabled disk image. Therefore, most browsers should mount the file
automatically. If this does not happen on your computer, locate and double-click the .dmg file after
download.
2. Read the license agreement and click Agree to proceed.
3. Drag the application icon to the folder allocated for installation — normally the Applications folder. If you
do not have permission to install to the Applications folder, eyeBeam can be installed to another folder.
Uninstalling eyeBeam
Uninstall eyeBeam as you would uninstall any other program: Drag the eyeBeam icon to the Trash.
2.3 Configuring eyeBeam
1. . If eyeBeam is not already running, start it as you would any other program. The softphone appears.
2. The Call display shows Initializing, followed by Discovering network. If no accounts have been set up, the
final message is Awaiting proxy login information. You must set up accounts. See “Setting up Accounts” on
page 4.
3. Make sure that you have enabled at least one account. You can enable more than one account at the same
time. Each time you start eyeBeam, you will automatically be logged into every enabled account.
To enable an account, click
at the top of the softphone, choose SIP Account Settings and click enable for
the desired account. For more information on enabling, see page 42.
