You can also update manually. The latest version of the directory sync utility is
always accessible on the Google Apps Directory Sync website. To upgrade to the
latest version, go to this site, and download and run the directory sync utility.
Configuration files are backward-compatible. Future versions of the directory sync
utility cans run configuration files created in earlier versions.
The installer wizard automatically detects and uninstalls previous versions of the
software in the same directory.
To reinstall the utility.
1. In a web browser, go to http://www.postini.com/dir_sync.
2. Choose the operating system of the server where you plan to run the directory
sync utility.
3. Download and run the installer.
4. Select a directory on your server to install the directory sync utility.
5. Complete the installer wizard.
Uninstall Google Apps Directory Sync
The directory sync utility also includes an uninstaller.
To remove the directory sync utility:
1. Open a command line interface and go to the directory that contains the
directory sync utility
2. Run the following command:
uninstall
3. In the uninstaller, click Next to uninstall the directory sync utility.
4. Once uninstallation has completed close the uninstaller.
All directory sync utility files and all libraries not used by other programs will be
removed. Log files and XML configuration files will not be deleted.
