11.5.3 Changing the hand relief valve
The hand relief valve must be replaced if there is a permanently leakage on the relief valve,
if you see external damages or it does not working.
ATTENTION!
The hand relief valve itself may only be dismantled as far as described here.
Additional repars on the relief valve itself may only be made, when:
- You have participated in a corresponding LUKAS service training course.
- You have the express permission of LUKAS customer service (by
request, check on the grant of permission. A check is necessary in each
individual case).
NOTE:
The assembling of the bedstop screw and the hand relief valve has to be
carried out synchronous (like shown above), because the bedstop screw is
longer than the bedstop area of the hand relief valve.
Procedure:
1. Demount the set screws (Pos. 8.3) and remove the hand wheel (Pos. 8.2).
2. Untighten the bedstop screw (Pos. 8.4) and remove the hand relief valve (Pos. 8.1) and
the ball (Pos. 8.5).
3. The assembly is done in reverse order. Replace all damaged parts with new ones.
