Sew slo wly, while keeping the seams parallel with the f abric edge
as you guide the f abric around the cur ve.
When the f oot angles up at the approach of a thic k seam, lower
the needle and raise the presser foot. Level the presser f oot b y
placing a “shim” (folded f abric or cardboard) under the bac k of the
presser foot. Lower presser foot and contin ue stitching.

When y ou raise the presser foot le ver further, the presser f oot is
raised to a higher position to handle thic ker fabrics.
With the presser f oot in the up position, r aise the presser foot
lever higher to make room for thic ker fabrics.

piece of f abric with the same thic kness at the back of the mater ial.
