ComparethisControlPanelillustrationwithyourgeneratortofamiliarizeyourselfwiththelocationoftheseimportantcontrols:
A - Set Exercise Switch—Usedtosettheexercisecycle
starttimeandday-of-the-week.Exercisecycleonly
occursinAUTOmode.
B - Circuit Breaker—Protectsthegeneratorfromshorts
andotherover-currentconditions.MustbeONto
supplypowertotheAutomaticTransferSwitch.
C - 15 Amp Fuse—ProtectsthehomegeneratorDCcontrol
circuits.Ifthefusehas‘blown’(meltedopen)orwas
removed,theenginecannotcrankorstart.Replacethe
fuseusingonlyanidenticalATO15Afuse.
D - System Switch—Thistwo-positionswitchisthemost
importantcontrolonthesystemandisusedasfollows:
• “AUTO”positionisthenormaloperatingposition.Ifa
utilitypoweroutageissensed,thesystemwillstartthe
generator.Whenutilitypowerisrestored,AUTOlets
theenginestabilizeinternaltemperatures,shutsoffthe
generator,andwaitsforthenextutilitypoweroutage.
• “OFF”positionturnsoffrunninggenerator,prevents
unitfromstartingandresetsanydetectedfaults.
E - Manual Over-Ride Switch—Withsystemswitchin
AUTOposition,pushthemanualover-rideswitchto
startthegenerator.Toturnoffthegenerator,pushand
holdthemanualover-rideswitchagainuntilengine
stops.
F - Digital Display—Displaysthetotalnumberofhours
thegeneratorhasbeenrunningandfaultcodes.Used
toschedulemaintenancetasksandfortroubleshooting
operationalproblemswiththehomegenerator.Allfault
conditionsaredescribedinFault Detection System.
