Messages
Write and send a message
indicates the message you composed has not been sent.

Select Menu > Messages > Create message > Text messages, or scroll
left at the start screen.

Compose a message using the keypad.

To list available options while composing the message, select Options and
one of the listed options.
To save the message in the Saved items folder, select Save message > Saved
text msgs. or Templates, to save the message as a predefined template. If you
have defined any folders under My folders, they also appear in the list, and
you can save the message to one of them.

To send the text message to a single address, select Send; enter the recipient’s
phone number, and select OK; or select Find to retrieve a number from
contacts, and press Select.

For other sending options, select Options > Sending options and one of
the options, and follow the prompts.
Read a message
When you receive a text or picture message or SMS e-mail,
and n Message(s)
received appear in the display, where n is the number of new messages.
indicates a message that has been read
.
The blinking
indicates that the message memory is full. Before you can
receive new messages, delete some of your old messages. See “Delete messages”
on page 30 for more information.

To view the message immediately, select Show.

To save the message to the inbox for later viewing, select Exit.

To view a saved message, select Menu > Messages > Inbox.

If more than one message is received, select the message you want to read.

While viewing the message, select Options and one of the listed options.
To extract numbers and Web site addresses from the current message,
select Use detail.
To copy text from the message to the phone calendar as a reminder note
for the current day, select Copy to calendar.
Reply to a message

While viewing a message, select Reply > Text message.

Compose your reply and send the message as described in “Write and send
a message” on page 29.
