Service Messages
These messages indicate a more serious fault that can only be corrected by a
customer service engineer. If one of these messages appears, turn the printer
off, then turn it on again. If the problem persists, contact your local vendor or
authorized service provider.

AIDC SENSOR
AIDC sensor error. Contact Technical Sup-
port with the error infor-
mation.
ERROR
COMMUNICATION
A communication error
occurred in the USB or
Ethernet interface. Check that the interface
cable is properly con-
nected to the printer.
If the error continues to
appear even though the
cables are correctly con-
nected, contact Techni-
cal Support.
ERROR
CONTROLLER
Controller internal error. Contact Technical Sup-
port with the error infor-
mation.
ERROR
ENGINE INTERFACE
A communication error
occured with the engine
controller. Contact Technical Sup-
port with the error infor-
mation.
FATAL ERROR
CODE:XX
An error has been
detected with the item
indicated “XX” in the ser-
vice message. Reboot the printer. This
often clears the service
message, and printer
operation can resume.
If the problem persists,

port.
