Battery Life
Battery life depends on how far the handset is from the base, and other
environmental conditions.
NOTE: For optimum battery performance, charge your handset on the
base every night.
Operation: Approximate Battery Life:
IN USE Near base unit 4 hours
(phone on) Away from base unit 2 1/2 hours
NOT IN USE Powersave off 4 days
Powersave on 17 days
Charge the Handset Battery Pack
This battery should remain charged up to four days with Powersave turned
off and up to 17 days with Powersave on. A fully charged battery provides
an average talk time of about three hours.
The battery pack needs charging when:
• A new battery is installed in the handset.
• The phone beeps four times when you press
P.
• The battery status symbol on the screen is only partly displayed.
• The phone does not respond when you press
P.
Place the handset in the base either in the face-down or face-up position so
the CHARGING light turns on. The battery pack is typically fully charged in
six hours. For best results, the initial charge should be 12 hours.
You can keep the battery fully charged by returning the handset to the
base after each use.
If you repeatedly get a low battery indicator, even after four hours of
charging, the battery should be replaced.
