Connect an external microphone to the

(microphone) jack when the IC
recorder is in the stop mode.
“Select Input” appears in the display
window.
If “Select Input” is not displayed, set it in
the menu (page 93).

select “MIC IN,” and then press
N

ENT.
“Select Input” is set to “MIC IN” when
you purchase the IC recorder.

STOP to exit the menu mode.

Press

REC/PAUSE to start recording.
The built-in microphones are
automatically cut off.
If the input level is not strong enough,
adjust the “REC Level” setting on the IC
recorder.
When a plug in power type microphone
is connected, power is automatically
supplied to the microphone from the IC
recorder.

Recommended microphones
You can use the Sony ECM-CS10 electret
condenser microphone (not supplied).
