DELETE IP RIP
Syntax
delete ip rip interface= interface
Parameters
interface Specifies the name of the interface where RIP is to be
removed. An interface name consists of “VLAN”
followed by the name or ID (VID) of the VLAN and the
interface number (e.g., vlan-Sales-0 or vlan4-0).
Description
This command removes RIP from an interface, which stops the interface
from routing packets with RIP. However, an interface, even without RIP,
can route packets to other interfaces on the same switch and to remote
networks and subnets using static routes.
To view the names of the interfaces using RIP, refer to “SHOW IP RIP
COUNTER” on page 588.
This command is not available on the AT-9408LC/SP, AT-9424T/GB, and
AT-9424T/SP switches.
Examples
This command removes RIP from the VLAN8-0 interface:
delete ip rip interface=vlan8-0
