Updating the 802.3az
EEE property
The “802.3az EEE” property property will allow the adapter to enter Low
Power Idle mode when network utilization is low.
1. In Microsoft Windows, right-click the Network Adapter in
Network Connections and, then click Properties.
2. Click the Configure button and then the Advanced tab.
3. Set the "802.3az EEE " parameter to Disable or Enable.
The default setting is Disable.
Updating the ARP
Offload property
The “ARP offload” property will allow the network device to respond to
an ARP request while in standby mode.
1. In Microsoft Windows, right-click the Network Adapter in
Network Connections and, then click Properties.
2. Click the Configure button and then the Advanced tab.
3. Set the "ARP Offload" parameter to Disable or Enable.
The default setting is Enable.
Updating the EEE
Control Policies
The “EEE Control Policies” property defines the balance of the
performance and power saving functions of the device.
1. In Microsoft Windows, right-click the Network Adapter in
Network Connections and, then click Properties.
2. Click the Configure button and then the Advanced tab.
3. Select the Maximum Performance, Maximum Power Saving, or
Optimal Power and Performance option.
The default setting is Optimal Power and Performance.
Updating the
Ethernet@WireSpeed
property
The “Ethernet@WireSpeed” property enables a 1000BASE-T Ethernet
adapter to establish a link at a lower speed when only two pairs of wires
are available in the cable plant.
1. In Microsoft Windows, right-click the Network Adapter in
Network Connections and, then click Properties.
2. Click the Configure button and then the Advanced tab.
3. Set the "Ethernet@WireSpeed" parameter to Disabled or
Enable.
The default setting is Disable.
Updating the Flow
Control property
The “Flow Control” property allows the user to enable or disable the
receipt or transmission of PAUSE frames. PAUSE frames enable the
adapter and the switch to control the transmit rate. The side that is
receiving the PAUSE frame temporarily stops transmitting.
1. In Microsoft Windows, right-click the Network Adapter in
Network Connections and then click Properties.
2. Click the Configure button and then the Advanced tab.
