Install the Bulbs and Shades
Step 4.
Put the 100-Watt halogen bulb (I) into the socket. Hold
the bulb at the porcelain grip, push it down slightly and
turn it clockwise.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE BULB ENVELOPE WITH
YOUR BARE HANDS.
Step 5.
Note: the small plastic nut and small plastic washer
that were removed in Step 2 will be needed for this
step.
Align the glass shield (C) with the small screw extending
from the bottom of the shade. Place the small washer
(G) and the small plastic nut (H) over the screw and
finger tighten.
Step 6.
Note: the handle that was removed in Step 2 will be
needed for this step.
Next, screw on the handle (F) and finger tighten.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN – THE GLASS SHIELD MAY CRACK
UNDER TOO MUCH PRESSURE.
Step 7.
Repeat steps 1-6 on the second arm of the lamp. Plug the lamp cord into the wall outlet. Your
lamp is now operational.
Step 1.
Loosen the set screw with the allen wrench (D). Then
unscrew the aluminum ring (B) from the lamp arm.
Remove one of the large washers (E).
Step 2.
Note: the shade is shipped with the handle in place.
Prior to installation of the shade, remove the handle,
the small plastic nut and the small plastic washer.
These will be reinstalled after installing the bulb and
glass shield.
Slide the shade (A) over the socket. Place the large
washer (E) that was removed in Step 1 back onto the
socket. Screw the aluminum ring (B) back onto the
socket until it is tight.
Step 3.
Using the allen wrench (D), tighten the set screw on the
aluminum ring into place.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. MAKE SURE THE SHADE IS
STILL LOOSE ENOUGH TO TURN.
