1. Remove the power supply blank.
2. Slide the power supply into the power supply bay until the device locks into place.
3. Connect the power cord to the power supply.
4. Connect the power cord to the power source.
5. Be sure that the power supply LED is green.
6. Be sure that the front panel external health LED is green (" Front panel LEDs and buttons " on page 7 ).
Expansion board option
The server ships with 9 PCI Express expansion slots. Slots 1, 2, 3, 6, and 9 support dual-width expansion
boards. If a dual-width expansion board is installed in slot 6 or 9, a x8 slot is lost.

CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all expansion slots have either an expansion slot cover or an expansion board installed.
