SAS drive backplane option
CAUTION: To prevent damage to electrical components, take the appropriate anti-static
precautions before beginning any system installation. Improper grounding can cause electrostatic
discharge.
To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 23 ).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Remove the access panel (on page 27 ).
4. Extend the processor memory drawer approximately 2.54-5.1 cm (1-2 inches).
5. Remove the SPI board (on page 30 ).
