Recommended actions
Problem/Scenario
Ensure the following:
•
The controller is running
For HP-UX and Linux hosts, use the following command to verify the
status:
/sbin/init.d/apex_controller status
For a Windows host, verify if the HP StorageWorks APEX Controller
Software service is running.
•
The hosts running the controller are reachable from the management
station
•
There are no firewalls or network settings blocking access to port
22569
The management station fails to
discover the controller.
Check if the PRM groups are configured and the PRM service is enabled
on the host. You can verify if the PRM groups are configured by using
the following command:
/usr/bin/prmconfig
PRM data is not available during
data collection for HP-UX hosts.
Ensure the following:
•
The host running the controller has access to at least one command
device
•
The host is accessing the array through a supported HBA
Command devices are not dis-
played during data collection.
Ensure that the application processes are assigned to the correct PRM
group by using the following command:
/usr/bin/ps –efP |grep
P9000 Application Performance
Extender does not display live
graphs for HP-UX workloads.
The P9000 Application Performance Extender report is generated and
displayed as a PDF file. If you are not able to view the generated report,
ensure that:
•
Your web browser is not blocking pop-up windows
•
You have a PDF reader
Unable to view the performance
report.
The P9000 Application Performance Extender user interface does not
support multiple sessions.
Stop the active session, wait for 15 seconds for the session to expire,
and then open a new session.
Opening multiple sessions of the
user interface fails with the follow-
ing error:
