Adding a Tape Drive to the Tape Enclosure
Adding a Tape Drive to the Tape Enclosure
The tape drive comes with two handles that you can use to hold the drive
securely when installing it in the tape enclosure. One handle is on the rear of the
drive, and the other is on the top middle of the drive.
Figure 6-1. Rear View of the Tape Drive
1. With one hand holding the top handle and one hand holding the rear handle, slowly
insert the tape drive all the way into the back of the enclosure.
2. Check that the two screws on the rear of the drive are aligned with the two holes
on the back of the enclosure.
3. Use a flat head screwdriver to tighten the two screws. See
for the
location of the two screws.
Caution. The front end of the drive is heavier than the back end, so be extremely careful when
installing the drive in the enclosure.
