Viewing the Tape Drive Configuration or Software

4. If the tape drive is now online, exit the Menu mode by pressing Menu until

“Exit Menu?” appears and then press Select to exit.

5. If the tape drive is now offline, proceed to the other menus by pressing

Menu.

6. If you are taking the tape drive online from the host, change the tape drive to

online for all host paths to the tape drive.

Viewing the Tape Drive Configuration or Software Level

1. Enter the menu system by pressing the Menu switch once:

a. Observe the display and ensure that it shows “Online” or “Offline,” the

present state of the tape drive.

b. If the display does not show “Online” or “Offline,” you are already in the

menu system.

2. If you are in the correct place and the unit is Offline, press the Select switch

once to change to Online.

3. Press the Menu switch to go to the Configuration Main menu. The display

shows “View CFG?”

To view only the software release level:

a. Press Menu once more.

b. Go to Step 4.

To view the tape drive configuration:

a. Press Select.

b. Press Menu or Select to view the tape drive configurations. Do so until you

reach the Configuration Exit menu. “Exit CFG?” appears.

At the Configuration Exit menu:

a. Press Menu.

b. Press Select to exit to the Software Release menu.

4. View the software release level. The format is:

Rx.yy.zzzc

Where:

x = major revision level

yy = minor revision level

zzz = the integration number

c = the channel type (s-SCSI)
