Description
Item
Information about the LDEV selected in the CU:LDEV tree:
•
LDKC:CU:LDEV (“#” after the LDEV number indicates
an external volume)
•
Emulation type
•
Volume capacity in MB for open-systems LDEVs, in
cylinders and tracks for mainframe LDEVs
•
RAID level
LDEV ID
Data location of the LDEV by starting and ending
addresses:LBA for open-systems LDEVs or CC HH for
mainframe LDEVs.
When the data location is in blue italics, this indicates that
it is a requested operation.
Data location
Capacity of the data stored in Cache Residency cache:
MB for open-systems LDEVs, cylinders and tracks for
mainframe LDEVs.
When the capacity is in blue italics, this indicates that it is
a requested operation.
Capacity
Cache Residency cache mode:
•
PRIO indicates priority mode.
•
BIND indicates bind mode.
•
A dash (-) indicates that the area is not allocated for
Cache Residency cache.
When the cache mode is in blue italics, this indicates that
it is a requested operation.
Mode
Setting for the pre-staging function:
•
Blank indicates that the pre-staging function is not set.
•
ON indicates that the pre-staging function is set.
When the pre-staging mode is in blue italics, this indicates
that it is a requested operation.
Pre-stage
Available number of cache extents in the specified LDEV
(maximum: 4,096).

corner of the Cache Residency window, provides information on the storage system cache usage.
