3 Setting Up Plug-in for Virtualization Server
Provisioning
This chapter explains how a server administrator uses vCenter Server to set up Plug-in for Virtualization
Server Provisioning. For details about Plug-in for Virtualization Server Provisioning requirements, see
the Release Notes.
Preparing the installation environment
You can register Plug-in for Virtualization Server Provisioning into VMware vCenter Server by executing
the setup tool from a Windows computer.
The following operations are required for registering Plug-in for Virtualization Server Provisioning into
VMware vCenter Server:

Registering firewall exceptions
For environments in which firewalls exist in the following locations, port numbers must be registered
as firewall exceptions so that each port can communicate.
