Based on the volume requirements provided by the server administrator, the storage administrator
uses P9000 Command View AE Suite to prepare a THP pool, LDEV, and parity group, and then
register them in a resource group.
The server administrator uses Plug-in for Virtualization Server Provisioning to allocate volumes to
virtualization servers from the storage resources provided by the storage administrator in accordance
to the usage of a virtual machine or the requirements of an application administrator. After that, the
server administrator can use the VMware vSphere Client functionality to create a virtual machine or
map a volume to a virtual machine as a raw device.
