5. Remove the battery from the computer (see Removing a user-replaceable battery on page 48 ).
6. Remove the service door from the computer by completing the following steps:.
a. With the battery bay toward you, remove the service door screw (1).
b. Slide the service door toward the front of the computer (2), and then lift up and remove the
service door (3).
7. If you are replacing a memory module, remove the existing memory module:
a. Pull away the retention clips (1) on each side of the memory module.
The memory module tilts up.
