2. In the System Overview pane, click Access Monitor and drag it to the relevant position in the
view.
3. In the Access Monitor Settings dialog that appears, specify the door and camera, and the
appearance of the view item.
You can specify how you want to display access control events on the Live tab in the Properties
pane.
Access Monitor Settings
Specify the door you want to view and the associated camera. If a door has multiple access
points and associated cameras, you can set up a view for each of the access points.
Specify which events you want to view. You can, for example, set up view items for different
event types: one for system events and one for access requests.
Specify the commands that you want to have available.
Specify the display order of the event list in the Access Monitor view item.
Overlay Buttons
You can add access control overlay command buttons to a view item from a list of commands
configured for the doors or access points.
Map Integration
If you use the map functionality to support your surveillance and access control, you can add access
control units to a map. From the map toolbox, select access control units, for example a door. Since
the state of the access control units are always visible, a map used in this way is a quick way to get a
graphical overview of the states of the access control units for the area or building you are monitoring.
About the Access Control tab
Access control related events and state of the doors are displayed on the Access Control tab. You
can investigate logged events, view current door status and perform certain commands.
To allow for optimum performance, the lists only display a maximum of 100 rows at a time. To browse
to the previous/next 100 rows, use the arrow buttons in the top right of the list:
.
You can change how the list displays data, sort columns and drag the columns to different positions.
You can also use the filters at the top of the list to filter.
You can only filter and sort on access control systems if your XProtect system integrates with multiple
access control systems.
You can drag the Access Control tab to separate windows, while you keep the main window in the
background to watch several views simultaneously.
