Report Definitions
Transmitter Alerts
•
Tamper*: The most current meter reading within the time period selected where a transmitter reported a tamper
condition. A tamper condition occurs when there is a cut or damaged wire.
•
Encoder Error (ADE)*: The most current meter reading within the time period selected where a transmitter
reports an error with the encoder. An error condition occurs when the encoder exhibits a temporary or
permanent failure to extract the current reading.
•
Reverse Flow (ADE)*: (Applies to Badger Meter GALAXY transmitters with an ADE only.) The most current meter
reading within the time period selected where a transmitter reported a reverse flow condition. The reverse flow
condition indicates when an ADE encoder has measured flow in the reverse direction, causing the current reading
to be lower than the previous recorded reading.
•
Leak*: The most current meter reading within the time period selected where a transmitter reported a potential
leak condition. A leak condition occurs when there is “continuous usage” over a 24-hour time frame.
- RTR: Badger Meter GALAXY transmitters with an RTR look at a 24-hour time period for 1 hour of non-usage.
- ADE: Badger Meter GALAXY transmitters with an ADE look at a 24-hour time period for 2 hours of non-usage.
•
Forced Read*: The most recent occurrence within the time period selected where a transmitter reported a meter
reading that was manually initiated. For a TR3 transmitter, this is done by a command from a handheld computer
connected to it via IR. For a TR2 transmitter, this is done by magnetic activation.
Reading Reports
•
Last Read: The most current meter reading within the time period selected.
•
No Read: The most current meter reading for transmitters that have not reported within the time period selected.
•
Usage: The most current meter reading, the lowest meter reading, and the difference between them within the
time period selected. Settings under the Preview Options tab allow you to select records to show when
previewing the report.
•
Not Advancing: The most current meter reading for transmitters where the meter reading did not change within
the time period selected.
•
History: All transmitters that have reported meter readings within the time period selected, along with the
individual meter readings collected within that time frame.
•
Installations (First Read): The first meter reading recorded for all transmitters. Time period selection is not used.
*Indicates alert conditions detected by GALAXY transmitters. Priority of Alerts: Tamper, Encoder Error, Reverse Flow, Leak,
Forced Read.
