Overload Output
The DFS possesses an overload output feature (DFS-CTRLCABLE) to protect the load cell or torque sensor. When the load
exceeds 150% of its capacity, an open collector transistor turns ON (there are two OC NPN transistors, one for tension and
one for compression). The output of these transistors can be used as an alarm or to stop a process, thus protecting the
remote sensor or the sample under test. See “Display and Keypad” section for the location of the overload output port.
NOTE: This output is always active, therefore no parameter selection is necessary.

Both transistors can handle up to 28VDC, 5 mA.
