Code 11 Characteristics
The Code 11 bar code symbology is a high density, variable length, numeric code which includes the dash character. Each
character is a fixed width of five elements, three bars and two spaces. Code 11 requires at least one check digit, and may be
encoded with a second optional check digit.

Code 93 Characteristics
Code 93 is a bar code symbology which encodes the full 128 ASCII character set. Code 93 derives its name from the fact that
every character is constructed from 9 modules arranged into 3 bars with their adjacent spaces. Every Code 93 symbol includes
two check digits.
It is sometimes advantageous to break up long messages into multiple, shorter symbols. If the first data character of a Code 93
symbol is a SPACE, the reader may be programmed to append the data following the space to a concatenation buffer. This
operation continues for all successive Code 93 symbols with a leading SPACE, with messages being added to the end of the
previously stored messages. When a Code 93 message is read which does not contain a leading SPACE, the contents are
appended to the buffer, the entire buffer is transmitted, and the buffer is cleared.
Note: Scanning a bar code that begins with a - (dash) will clear the concatenation buffer and no data will be output. In
addition if you scan a bar code with a different symbology, the concatenation buffer will be cleared and the new bar code will
be output.
