MSI/Plessey Characteristics
MSI/Plessey is a variable length numeric only bar code, with a recommended length between 3 to 15 digits. A single check digit
is required, and an optional check digit may be used. When two check digits are used, the first check digit can be either a
Modulo 10 or 11.
The decoder supports the ISBN variant of MSI/Plessey. Enable the ISBN Decoder, see page 16 to read the ISBN variant of
MSI/Plessey. The MSI/Plessey ISBN bar code is a fixed length numeric only bar code. When using the ISBN check digits, "X"
is a valid check digit character.
