5.3 Cell Replacement
The Micro-Fuel Cell is a sealed electrochemical transducer with no
electrolyte to change or electrodes to clean. When the cell reaches the end
of its useful life, it is replaced. The spent fuel cell should be discarded in
accordance with to all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
This section describes fuel cell care as well as when and how to replace it.
The Class B-1 Micro-Fuel Cell is used in the standard Model 3000PB.
If any other cell is supplied with your instrument, check the front of this
manual for any addenda applying to your special model.
