Centripetal Force Pendulum

INTRODUCTION
The PASCO ME-9821 Centripetal Force Accessory is a simple
pendulum designed to attach to an Economy Force Sensor and a
Rotary Motion Sensor. The centripetal force is measured directly with
the Force Sensor and is related to the velocity that is measured with the
Rotary Motion Sensor.
EQUIPMENT SETUP
1. Slip the cord holder clip over the cord
on the Economy Force Sensor. Attach
the cord clip to the adapter rod using
the thumbscrew provided (See Figure
1).
2. Slide the adapter rod into the front
center hole on the Force Sensor and
tighten the Force Sensor thumbscrew
onto the adapter rod.
3. Slide the Force Sensor with adapter rod
onto the Rotary Motion Sensor shaft
(See Figure 2).
4. Rotate the brass
thumbscrew to tightly
secure the Force
Sensor and adapter
rod in place.
5. Remove any
attachment or hook
that may be screwed
into the end of the
Force Sensor and
screw the light-weight
pendulum rod into the
bottom end of the
Force Sensor.
6. Insert the end of the
pendulum rod into the
