Split Mode
In Split mode, some users are operati ng in Normal and some in Shared mode. This mode off ers the use of 4 BeltStati ons (per
MasterBelt) that uti lize the standard anyti me talk back capability and allows an unlimited number of “shared” BeltStati ons
to listen and talk on the fi nal slot. In this mode, shared BeltStati ons have no control over which channel they operate on.
The channel is designated at the MasterBelt.
»
Unlimited number of (shared) BeltStati ons may be used in additi on to
the 4 BeltStati ons operati ng in Normal mode; BeltStati ons are inherently
full duplex (talk/listen at the same ti me, push-to-talk) and are physically
no diff erent than a BeltStati on operati ng in Normal mode.
»
Shared BeltStati ons operate in momentary talk mode; only one shared
BeltStati on may uti lize the talk functi on at any given ti me.
»
Shared BeltStati ons are unable to provide telemetry to the MasterBelt.
Volume of the BeltStati on that is acti vely talking is dynamically reduced
to minimize the eff ect of echo.
