Installing TRANQUELL  Medium Exposure Transient Voltage Surge
Suppressors into Pro-Stock Panelboards:
The Pro-Stock Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor (TVSS) is a TRANQUELL  Medium
Exposure Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor designed for mounting into a Pro-Stock
Panelboard.
1. The display assembly must be removed from the MOV enclosure assembly in order to
install the MOV enclosure assembly to the mounting channel.
2. Mount the TRANQUELL  Medium Exposure TVSS MOV enclosure assembly to the
mounting channel using the screws provided in the hardware kit. Remove any shield
supports that interfere with this installation. Torque mounting screws to 28 inch-pounds.
3. Connect the TRANQUELL  Medium Exposure Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor
busbars to the panelboard busbar studs using the flange-nuts provided in the hardware
kit as shown in the figure. Torque flange-nuts to 110 inch-pounds.
4. Connect the neutral conductor to the panel neutral bus (in a non-delta system).
5. Mount the TVSS display assembly to the MOV enclosure assembly using the spring-
loaded plunger provided in the display assembly as shown in the figure (See Detail).
Adjust height and orientation as required. Connect the cable from the display assembly
to the MOV enclosure assembly.
6. Connect the surge counter sensitivity cable to achieve the desired setting.
7. Install wiring to remote alarm contacts.
8. Mount the Deadfront over the Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor display assembly
using the screws provided with the hardware kit.
