Remount the fuse box and auxiliary switch assembly (if
present). Figure 8 shows a complete flux shifter installation
on a fused breaker and Figure 9 shows a top view of the
installation on an unfused breaker.

The trip mechanism should be adjusted as shown in Figure
10:
a.
Use the manual charging handle to charge the breaker
closing springs and then close the breaker.
b.
The gap between the screw on the trip paddle and the
flux shifter mechanism should be about 0.07–0.10 inch.
c.
If adjustment is necessary, trip the breaker, then loosen
the lock nut and turn the screw appropriately. Recheck
the adjustment as in steps a. and b.
