Using the Spectrometer
Overview
Once you have installed the proper software and connected the spectrometer to the desired hardware,
you are ready to take measurements. This chapter provides information on running the SpectraSuite-
Hub service and starting SpectraSuite when using an ARCoptix ANIR spectrometer. SpectraSuite
functions specific to the ARCoptix ANIR spectrometer are also discussed. However, general
SpectraSuite operation is covered in the main SpectraSuite Spectrometer Operating Software
Installation and Operation Manual (see
Product-Related Documentation ).
Starting the SpectraSuite-Hub Service
The SpectraSuite-Hub service must be running before SpectraSuite can access the ARCoptix ANIR
spectrometer. Normally, this service is started automatically when you boot your Windows system.
However, if it is necessary to manually start or stop the SpectraSuite-Hub service, use the
SpectraSuite-Hub Service Controller utility to do this.
